REFLECTION
“…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” -Galatians 5:22-23
Congratulations to our Gr. 7 students on receiving the sacrament of confirmation. In this rite of passage for Catholics, we are reminded to trust in the Holy Spirit and this happens through prayer and letting go of our need to try to control every aspect of our life. Through prayer, we open our minds and hearts to the Lord. By reflecting on scripture, by attending Mass, and by reflecting on our thoughts, words, and actions, we can better produce the good fruits of the Spirit.
To those wanting to reflect further, read all of Galatians chapter 5 as it is an Exhortation to Christian Living.
PATRIOTS SUMMER CAMP
WALKATHON MONEY DEADLINE
A huge thank you to all of our donors who have contributed to our Walkathon. We have met our goals and plans are already underway for upgrading the library space. There are still some outstanding pledges. All funds are to be in by May 30th to be counted towards prizes for students.
ST. JUDE’S PARENT SUPPORT GROUP (PSG) NEEDS PARENT VOLUNTEERS
The Parent Support Group (PSG) is a necessary parent liaison group between the school and the BC Gaming Commission. The formation of this group meets the eligibility for receiving a government grant from the BC Gaming Commission. This grant money is intended to benefit K-12 students in British Columbia through enhancement of extracurricular opportunities and community involvement. Historically, this money has subsidized field trips and supported various school clubs (i.e. the chess club and nature club). The school cannot apply for this grant unless we have parents who volunteer their time towards forming the PSG. If you are interested in joining or would like more information, please email psg@stjude.ca
