The Patrioteer – February 21, 2025

PRINCIPAL'S CORNER

This week was another week full of joy at St. Jude. Our Grade Three class celebrated National Acts of Kindness day and supported younger classes learning about being kind. Initiatives like this one warm my heart and seeing older students working to actively make our world a better place. The kindness I see the students exhibit towards each other every day is a source of joy for me. Kindness is all around our world if we look for it. Here at St. Jude we encourage our students to look for the good in the world and try to BE the good in return.

Happy National Acts of Kindness Day!

St. Jude, Pray for us!

GRADE THREE SHOWS HEART

This week Grade Three participating in National Acts of Kindness day by expressing their kindness through story and sharing their stories with others. These students read their stories to students in Grade One and Kindergarten in an effort to pay it forward and inspire kindness in others.

Way to go Grade Three, thanks for sharing your kindness with others!

EARTHQUAKE PROCEDURES

Today some of the students felt the earth shaking as some parts of Vancouver experienced tremours from an Earthquake north of the city. Our school is equipped with an Earthquake Early Warning System and the tremours were minor enough to not set it off. Most of the classrooms did not experience any disruption to their learning.

If there is need to initiate the earthquake procedure and evacuate the school then parents will be notified. All our emergency procedures are drilled regularly at the school to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Take care!
