The Patrioteer – November 14, 2025

PRINCIPAL'S CORNER

November is the month of Remembrance.

We remember those who have passed. This leads us to think of soldiers who have died fighting for peace and freedom, of our loved ones who have passed on, and of the holy saints who now intercede for us in Heaven.

We remember those fighting for peace. On Monday, the Grade Fours and Sixes led us in prayer and reflection during Remembrance Day Assembly. It was a lovely time to come together as a community and pray for peace.

We remember our deceased loved ones. This month the staff are offering special prayers daily for our loved ones and those in our community who have passed on. If you would like to join us there is a prayer at the end of the newsletter.

We remember the saints and their example. Some of our classrooms are looking at the lives of the saints, or those who lived exemplary lives of virtue and joy. These men and women can teach us a lot about how to love our neighbour and God.

May God continue to guide and care for us as we pass through this month of Remembrance.

St. Jude, Pray for Us!

REMEMBRANCE DAY ASSEMBLY

Thank you to the grade 4 and 6 classes for a beautiful Remembrance Day assembly which honoured  the soldiers and people who fought for our country and for those who continue to work for peace in our world today.

As the students shared in their assembly, “May we honour their memory not only in words, but through our actions of kindness, respect, and unity”.

Thank you for sharing with all of us of this message of peace and for reminding us that peace is not just the absence of war, but also the presence of justice, compassion, and human dignity.

For those students who had a retake photo earlier this month, your proofs have already been sent home.  If you would like to order photos, the order deadline is November 20th.  Orders can be made online.
