The Patrioteer – November 28, 2025

PRINCIPAL'S CORNER

“So stay alert, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come”

Matthew 24:42

Happy Liturgical New Year! This weekend marks the end of the 2024-2025 Liturgical New Year and the start of the 2025-2026 New Year. A liturgical new year marks new beginnings and can be a kick start for our faith life, much like the calendar new year which can lead to new resolutions and promises for better habits. This new year, which starts on the first day of Advent, can serve as a reminder that we should prepare our hearts for Christ. This is because Advent prepares us for the coming of Christ at Christmas and the second-coming. A New Year and Advent can lead us to a renewal of faith and a resolution that we will be ready when Christ returns!
