The Patriot Report – April 26th, 2019

Reflection

On April 24th, staff and students, showed their appreciation for Ms. Goh, our school secretary. I think it is very important that we show our appreciation and gratitude for the many blessings we have in our life. And the greatest blessings are often people we have in our life. Gratitude is born out of recognizing how fortunate we are and grateful people are more likely to experience joy in their life. Let us all then take a moment to reflect on what we have to be grateful for and let us also work with our children to teach them the importance of being grateful.

Updates

Thank You for Attending

To all the parents that were able to take time out of their busy schedules to attend the Sexuality and Your Child talks, I would like to thank you. We will be reaching out to parents who were able to attend to set up a conference time so that the important information can still be passed on. Thank you

Cambridge Uniform Update

I would like to inform parents that at the end of May, we will be purchasing the unsold uniform stock from Neat Uniforms. We will make that stock available for purchase to parents starting the first week of June. These items will be sold at cost as they will only be part of the uniform for the next two years. We are allowing for a 2 year transition to the new uniform from Cambridge Uniforms. If a size is not available from the Neat Uniform stock then parents will need to purchase from Cambridge Uniforms. Uniforms will be available from Cambridge starting June 1, 2019. During the week of June 17-21 Cambridge Uniforms will be on site at St. Jude School to fill uniform orders and if you order during this time frame you will save the GST on your purchases.

Spring Raffle

All families should now have their Spring Raffle tickets. The Spring Raffle is our second major fundraiser for the year. We thank you for your support and effort in raising funds that will directly benefit your child’s school.

Kindergarten Enrollment

We are still accepting applications for Kindergarten and we do have space in some of our other primary classes. If you know of families considering a top rated Catholic education, please direct them to our school.
