RESILIENCE GROWS IN THE FACE OF CHANGE

At the start of the school year there was not a single person that could have predicted that our daily life and the educational landscape would have changed so much. Change is often frightening for people because it reminds them that life is unpredictable. But change can also be exciting and full of opportunity. In fact the Chinese character for change is made up of two symbols, one of danger and one of opportunity. Certainly Covid19 has brought forth a series of dangers and opportunities.

Recent communications from administration have shown how we plan to address the dangers of Covid19 by making changes to our practices and local learning environment that will keep people safe and healthy. Before us also lies opportunity. Whether at home or at school, each day we have the opportunity to paint our world with brushstrokes of kindness, gratitude, hope, and faith.

The resilient look for opportunities to grow and thrive. The resilient find creative solutions. Resilient people endure the difficult challenges because they have a growth mindset. We can each become a little more resilient each day. While we need to be mindful of the dangers, we must not forget to see the opportunities that each challenge presents.
