PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
This month we are bidding a fond goodbye to the beloved Archbishop of Vancouver, Archbishop Michael Miller, CSB.
Archbishop Miller was a huge supporter of Catholic Education and has been an excellent shepherd for Catholic teachers. In his book The Holy See’s Teaching on Catholic Schools, Archbishop Miller outlines the purpose of Catholic schools: “The specific purpose of a Catholic education is the formation of boys and girls who will be good citizens of this world, loving God and neighbor and enriching society with the leaven of the gospel, and who will also be citizens of the world to come, thus fulfilling their destiny to become saints.” In a recent address to the CISVA principals, he repeated those same sentiments by reminding us that our purpose as teachers was to one day be together with our students in Heaven. What a wonderful sentiment for us as educators and an invitation for us to join you parents in your journey to raise saints. Thank you for trusting us with this sacred task!
Thank you Archbishop Miller for your years of service and best of luck on your well deserved retirement!
St. Jude, pray for us!
SPRING CONCERT - JUNE 10
Get ready to rock! We are excited to announce that our upcoming Spring Concert will be held on Tuesday, June 10th. We will have two performances at 1:30 pm and 7:00pm in the gym. Titled “Rockin’ and Rollin’ Through the Decades“, each grade will perform a song representing a different decade from the rockin’ 50s to today’s chart-toppers. All are invited to attend.

Our Lady of the Assumption Track Meet
We had a blast at the Our Lady of the Assumption Track Meet last Tuesday. The weather was perfect and the students showed their talents on the track and in the field events.
Thank you to the Track and Field Coaches for supporting our students!
