PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
“Can we think, the life of man, better employed than in this good work? What do I say? Would not all the labours of a thousand men, be well rewarded, in the conversion of a single soul gained to Jesus Christ?”
-St. Isaac Jogues
This weekend marks the feast day of two very important saints in Canada. These men were missionaries to the Huron nation here in Canada and St. John translated the Catechism and a dictionary into the Huron language, bringing many people to Christ. Even after capture and torture for preaching the word of God to many, these men persevered for love of Christ and love of the beautiful people they ministered to and converted. We can learn a lot about the nature of sacrifice and the perseverance of love through adversity from these daring saints. Their story is incredible and inspiring, though not for the faint of heart as it is quite brutal at times. These men were eventually martyred for their faith and became the first North American saints recognized by the Church.
At times it may seem like we are missionaries in a foreign land as we witness to Christ’s love and peace in a world that does not value His message. But, we persevere in the joy of the Gospel message and the understanding that Christ came to save!

It is also an opportunity to raise and address concerns. It is not an opportunity to discuss other children or other teachers.
