The Patrioteer – June 5, 2026

PRINCIPAL'S CORNER

“Jesus has made Himself the Bread of Life to give us life. Night and day, He is there. If you really want to grow in love, come back to the Eucharist, come back to that Adoration.”

 -St. Theresa of Calcutta

This weekend is the feast of Corpus Christi, the Body of Christ. The Eucharist, the Body of Christ, is the source and summit of our Catholic Faith. As Catholics we believe that Jesus is fully present in the Eucharist and offers Himself for us on the altar at Mass. In the quote above from Mother Theresa, she urges those who want to grow in love to first learn about true love from the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross which we commemorate during Mass. Through time spent in adoration, we allow God to love us and be with us. An hour of adoration and prayer before the Eucharist can do much to heal a weary soul, as Jesus is the great healer.

Body and Blood of Christ, sanctify us!

St. Jude, Pray for Us!
