PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
The feast of the Holy Trinity is this Sunday. The Trinity is one of the central mysteries of Christianity. In this sense the word “mystery” is not referring to a Nancy Drew novel, but something sacred, important, and just beyond complete understanding of our human minds. Though our God is indivisible and completely whole as one God, there are three persons in this God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. A fact that we remember everytime we say the sign of the cross before prayer. These persons remind us of the importance of community and the strength of love. Theologians describe the love of God the Father and God the Son as being so powerful it is actually the third person, the Holy Spirit. How does this work? Well that is the mystery of it all, something our human minds cannot comprehend! But we can know that God lives in community and is bound by the strength of love, so we can see the importance of living with others and loving our neighbour.
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, be our strength and our guide!
